Respected educator, activist, and writer Ed Garnes, founder of From Afros To Shelltoes, will lend his voice to the collective call for safe and drug free communities at the ninth annual annual TeenFest(ival) event, Saturday, April 13, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Raleigh Convention Center. Joining Garnes on the celebrity panel of judges for the event’s teen talent showcase: singer and co-star of WE TV’s top rated Braxton Family Values reality TV show Trina Braxton; Lou “Bowlegged Lou” George, Jr. of Grammy Award winning production team and music group Full Force; Atlanta-based award winning music executive Amir Windom; communications expert, talent scout and founder of Brett Chambers and the Usual Suspects band Brett Chambers; nationally renowned and award winning spoken word artist Petrina “Trin-A-Thoughtz” Bryant; and photographer, retired model and talent coach Sheree Betts.
