Cascade Patch is doing a 3 part series on black love and in particular, the new book “Where Did Our Love Go.” (edited by Gil Robertson) In the video series, contributors Amy Elisa Keith and Ed Garnes discuss their contributions to the book and some of the over-arching issues the book tackles such as marriage, divorce, and being single.

Ed Garnes Joins Michael Jackson Before He Was King Race Identity Panel NBAF

Ed Garnes, Founder of From Afros To Shelltoes  recruited some of his artsy crew for a power panel as music/culture insiders use the images of Todd Gray, The King of Pop’s personal photographer from 1979-1984, to examine race and identity in the life of legend Michael Jackson.  Featured panelists include Sheila Pree Bright (artist/panel moderator), Erin Harper (pop culture writer), Fahamu Pecou (visual performance artist/cultural critic).
