Same Camera Different Eye: Shannon McCollum Shoots Two Generations Of Kings
When I took the photograph of T.I., I had been hired to shadow him all day. He had sat in an auditorium listening to students at Morehouse grill him about going to jail, his music & his career. Dude had a subtle look on his face like he had the weight of the world on his shoulder. I just saw this perfect image before it even happened. So, when I framed the Martin Luther King image up with T.I…. it was like two generations of Kings… ML King & and T.I., the king of the south who had been humbled by his gun charges.–Shannon McCollum
