I had to see the video to know how racy it really is....I loved it! I didn't think it was any different than Janet Jackson used to do, Beyonce does not, or Rhianna/Cassie....the list can go on and on. Very good and provocative moves that, an adult woman, want to copy to sex up my own moves. The video was sexy, great chemistry b/t Ciara & J.T., the choreography was excellent, and the moves match the song itself. I don't see what the big deal is.

I like the video! I've always liked Ciara's music. I believe when she first entered the industry, she may have been boxed into the 'good girl' role model for all the pre-teens/young women for whom society and parents wanted to speak to about sex with ,My goodies'. She's growing, she's sexy and she's talented. I believe the video exemplifies all of this and maybe a bit risque for some, but its nothing more than we see on videos, tv shows and internet daily. Sex does sell, but so does talent. All artists have in some shape or form sold sex (or played with the idea of sexiness) in order to keep on the tongues of many. The gyrating was okay for Beyonce's video sans a male object of affection. Now Ciara's selling out...please?! She posed for Source naked, she's clothed and dancing for the videos...its not too far off from her other videos. Just a bit more play into the visual for the male consumer.

I think that the industry is interesting. How you're treated/viewed by the industry/public has a lot to do with how you make your name. For instance Beyonce made her name being this kind of sexual/desirable/fantasy woman. So now if she puts on one pound people look at her sideways. Alcia Keys made her career on the fact that she could play piano, sing and write a pretty good tune. So when her weight fluctates people pay it no mind. I think Ciara came into the industry as this young woman that could kind of sing but could definitely dance a la Janet Jackson and just like Janet after slumping album sales she's going for the Justin Timberlake wardrobe malfunction controvery minus the superbowl (I'm exaggerating a bit) ... and sex and controvery sell (just ask TMZ). I mean I don't think Ciara is doing anything too outlandish she just has to keep in mind where this puts her and her career in the eyes of the public and industry. I think Jay put it well when he said:
"The music biz is like musical chairs
Its about where you stand when the music stops spinning"
