I cowered at the revelation that our soul brother number one, musical architect Don Cornelius, whose funky good time was always buoyed by a distinguished gentleman aesthetic, had taken his own life. I agree that we need to analyze the company we keep. If the people around you look the other way when you do things detrimental to your life, get rid of ‘em. I am pretty sure the people around these stars know what’s up and choose not to say anything to keep things “cool” with the celebrities. How sad. I think the abuse happens more than we realize, it just takes those mistakes and out of hand situations to make them come to light. Let’s hope these events don’t lead kids to believe this behavior should be tolerated. I hope through it all, someone will learn from this and it will change or possibly save someone’s life.
